Freedom—since the dawn of humanity, an elusive concept pursued by many. In my opinion, however, there is no such thing as complete freedom. Being freed from one thing only leads to the slavery of another. Throughout history, many regimes have been toppled, only to be replaced by other kinds of tyranny. The constriction of freedom in certain doses is actually beneficial for the flourishing of society. A well-prospering community will never arise if everyone is free to do as they please. But still, I believe that basic freedom and rights are absolutely necessary and must be provided for every human being. It truly is a shame that it is not the case.
